So it’s been a minute since I have written. I’m fully aware, and I’m sorry about that. I know I promised to write a bit more about the happenings in my life to add a bit more of a personal touch to my blog, but life has been hectic. Here’s just a brief overview of my life over the past couple of months.

February: Seven residency interviews, five states, and three time zones. After spending more than 10 nights in hotel rooms, I realized how much I appreciate being at home. I never want to take another red eye because it’s exhausting. After over 50 hours on the road throughout the month, I have gained a hearty appreciation for audiobooks. I also have to give props to my mom, who joined me for portions of the adventure. I must admit that stressed-me is probably not the best travel companion.

After one of my interviews, Mom and I visited Epic in Verona, WI.

March: I matched with Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee, Wisconsin!! I’m moving to the north. I may be the worst Wisconsin candidate ever, since I’m lactose intolerant (no cheese curds for me) and don’t like beer or sports. Nonetheless, here I come!

I matched at Froedtert in Wisconsin!

April: I had my last rotation as a student… Plus some other random adventures such like the annual Chalk Walk in Knoxville.

May: As of May 3rd, I became a Doctor of Pharmacy. Then, on May 17th, I became a Master (of Health Informatics and Information Management). I graduated!!! I also have taken the MPJE for Wisconsin (still no results…) and the NAPLEX (I passed!) so that I can get a license and actually practice as a pharmacist.

So there’s just a brief overview of what I’ve been up to these past few months. I’m obviously still working on finishing up May. Next month includes some new adventures such as a big move and starting my residency, so stay tuned!
