I know, I know. It isn’t like me to write actual blog posts, but I have decided to attempt to intersperse a few thoughts with my recipes this year. My first order of business with you all (or more appropriately, “y’all’ in my neck of the woods) is to let you know that the frequency of my posting recipes will be decreasing in the coming year.
Over the course of 2017, I posted a new recipe every week because, although I did not share this information with you as readers, my 2017 New Year’s resolution was just that, to post a weekly recipe. That, I realized, is so tough! As my bio briefly discusses, I am currently a pharmacy student. I am now in my 4th year of the program, so I am on rotation. This means that I am working in some sort of pharmacy setting for 40 or so hours per week then preparing for topic discussions, presentations, and journal clubs once finished at the rotation site. Additionally, I am a tutor 1st and 2nd year pharmacy students on weekends and sometimes throughout the week, which also includes preparing for these sessions. Therefore, I usually find that I am fairly busy.
That said, my goal for 2018 is to write more actual blog posts like this one and to post at least one recipe per month. I still love experimenting with recipes, so I promise to continue with the recipes. They will just be a bit less frequent, especially as I am approaching graduation and the beginning of a residency (fingers crossed that I get one!). I have some great things in the works, and can’t wait for you to see them. Spoiler alert, you can expect some recipes for some skinny cinnamon rolls and tasty egg-free cookies (or cookie dough, since they regularly don’t seem to make it to the oven) in the future!
Thanks for reading, and let me know if there are any recipes you’d like to see “healthified.” I’d love to get your feedback on anything I post and want to get to know my readers a bit better! I have included a more recent picture of me with the post, as well. I should say that the picture is post-haircut, which is why it looks clean and half-way decent, but I digress.
Until next time,
